Product Mgmt Is Still All About Telling Stories
Intuit Building 9, 2600 Casey Ave, Mountain View
changing workflows. But we don't talk enough about what isn't changing: understanding your customers, interpreting your data, telling stories about what you want to build, & telling stories to your customers about what you are building.
Josh Elman gave a great talk at Lean Product Meetup 10 years ago about your role as a product manager to help your team ship the right product to your users. In this talk he will review what has changed in this world of AI but also remind us about the importance of what hasn't - telling stories.
Josh brings deep experience building & investing in consumer products at the early stages (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Musical.ly/Tiktok, Robinhood) & most recently helping build & launch Siri AI & Apple Intelligence at Apple. And he is now back on the VC side as a partner at a16z believing investing in the next wave of consumer products .
We'll meet IN-PERSON at Intuit's HQ in Mountain View & also stream via Zoom for remote attendees, so there are separate tickets for each. I'll send the Zoom link the morning of the event to everyone registered for a Zoom ticket on TicketLeap.
If you join in person, there will be dinner & networking before the talk & more networking after the talk.
BONUS! Our sponsors Deloitte & Vapi are raffling off 40+ free copies of Kindra Hall's ebook Stories That Stick: How Storytelling Can Captivate Customers, Influence Audiences, & Transform Your Business! You can enter the raffle as part of online registration.
