The band perfected a vision that wasn’t quite post-punk, wasn’t quite noise-rock, wasn’t quite anything besides an idiosyncratic, ground-breaking hybrid that could only come from the four of them - Giraffe is their bold new offering. A prominent figure in Montreal's independent music scene for over twenty years, she gained recognition as the frontwoman of the cult bands Duchess Says and PyPy. Annie's solo project marks a shift from aggression to dystopian disco vibes. Inspired by minimal pop and electronic pioneers, her debut album, LES MANIÈRES DE TABLE, is both danceable and disquieting, reexamining social codes of politeness.
